Technological prospecting: The case of cultured meat

Cultured meat, derived from cellular agriculture, is an emerging food biotechnology. Although it not yet available on industrial scale, there are speculations regarding the technical and economic challenges that controversy over viability of this product. Therefore, our study aimed to map technological development cultured meat. For this, we used patent registrations, start-ups, their investors as main indicators for analysis, observing assumptions established in Schumpeterian trilogy innovation. We also identified stakeholders involved sector, well role relevance. From these observations, found some aspects meat production can still be improved, aiming economies scale.
